Andrew J. Friedland serves as The Richard and Jane Pearl Professor in Environmental Studies at Dartmouth College, where he has taught since 1987. After earning dual BAs in Biology and Environmental Studies (1981) and PhD in Earth and Environmental Science (1985) from the University of Pennsylvania, he has dedicated his career to understanding forest ecosystems and environmental change.
