Laure Itard serves as Professor of Building Energy Epidemiology at TU Delft's Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, where she focuses on performance analysis, diagnosis, and optimization of energy systems in buildings. Through her research, she develops new methods for analyzing large datasets in building stock, understanding complex interactions between buildings and occupants, and optimizing operational performance of energy systems. Her work is particularly relevant to addressing the growing complexity of building energy systems and leveraging the potential of smart technologies for sustainable building operations.

Dr. Paula van den Brom is a distinguished researcher at TU Delft's Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, where she combines expertise in building technology and architectural design. After completing dual master's degrees in Building Technology (2013) and Architecture (2014) at TU Delft, she gained valuable industry experience at an MEP consultancy firm, specializing in designing comprehensive building systems for various structures. Her doctoral research, completed in 2020, made significant contributions to understanding the gap between theoretical and actual energy consumption in buildings, analyzing data from over 1.4 million Dutch dwellings. As a postdoctoral researcher, she continues to advance the field of sustainable building design through her work on data-driven energy prediction models and building performance analysis. Her expertise spans energy simulation, building systems design, and sustainable architecture, with particular focus on the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). She actively contributes to educational programs at TU Delft, teaching courses in energy demand and sustainable building systems while conducting research that bridges the gap between theoretical models and practical energy consumption patterns in residential buildings.
