Javier Estrada serves as a finance professor at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, while also holding positions as partner and financial advisor at Sport Global Consulting Investments, an independent financial advisory firm. He is the exclusive advisor for the investment strategy of the Alpha Investments mutual fund. His academic credentials include an M.S. in Finance and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA), complemented by a B.A. in Economics from the National University of La Plata (Buenos Aires, Argentina). His expertise spans wealth management, portfolio management, investments, and law and economics. He has authored several influential books, including "Finance in a Nutshell" (FT Prentice Hall, 2005), which has been translated into Spanish, Italian, and Chinese. A second edition, titled "The FT Guide to Understanding Finance," was published in 2011 and translated into Korean. He also wrote "The Essential Financial Toolkit: Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Finance But Were Afraid to Ask" (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011).
