Pankaj Setia serves as the IIMA Chair Professor, Professor of Information Systems, and Founding Chair of the Center for Digital Transformation at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. With a Ph.D. from Michigan State University (2008), he has established himself as a prominent researcher in how organizations leverage IT applications and digital capabilities for enhanced performance. His research interests span digital transformation, open-source development, and the neuroscientific aspects of technology's influence on human behavior. His scholarly work has earned him recognition among the top 100 researchers in Information Systems globally, with publications in prestigious journals including Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, and Journal of Operations Management. At IIMA, he teaches graduate-level courses on digital organization and transformation, while also conducting executive education programs and consulting with leading organizations. His expertise has been recognized through invitations to deliver keynote speeches at universities across India, Chile, the United States, and Singapore, and his insights are regularly featured in prominent media outlets such as Business World, Outlook, and Forbes India
