André Braga Junqueira holds a PhD in Production Ecology and Resource Conservation from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow working on the LICCI project at ICTA-UAB. His research expertise encompasses interdisciplinary studies in ethnoecology, the ecology of agroecosystems, and historical ecology. He is particularly interested in the biophysical, cultural, and historical dimensions of interactions between people and nature.

Dr. Victoria Reyes García is an ICREA Research Professor at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB). She obtained her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Florida in 2001. Her research focuses on Indigenous and local knowledge systems, particularly their relevance in understanding and addressing climate and environmental crises. Dr. Reyes García co-directs the Laboratory of Analysis of Social-Ecological Systems in a Global World (LASEG) and leads an ERC-funded project examining local perceptions of climate change impacts through the LICCI initiative. She actively participates in the Intergovernmental Science and Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Transformative Change Report and is a member of both the National Academy of Sciences, USA (2021) and the Académie d'Agriculture de France (2022). Dr. Reyes García teaches the course Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, where she explores the intersection of cultural knowledge and environmental science. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates insights from various fields, including ecology, economics, and anthropology, to analyze the effects of global change on rural livelihoods and local environments.

Dr. Sandrine Gallois is a postdoctoral researcher at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, specializing in eco-anthropology and environmental sciences. She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Technologies from ICTA UAB and another in Eco-Anthropology from MNHN, France. Her research focuses on the dynamics of cultures in the context of global changes, particularly through her experiences living with hunter-gatherer groups in the Congo Basin. Dr. Gallois employs an interdisciplinary approach that integrates ethnoecology, cultural anthropology, and botany to explore local ecological knowledge, childhood learning, knowledge transmission, ethnobotany, and biocultural diversity. She co-teaches the course Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, where she examines the intersection of cultural practices and environmental challenges. Dr. Gallois is also involved in the PERFORM H2020 EU research project, which investigates participatory educational processes and their impact on students' engagement with science.

Dr. Xiaoyue Li is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, working on the LICCI project at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB). She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Anthropology in 2017 from Oregon State University, focusing on the human dimensions of natural resources, particularly Indigenous and local knowledge systems in agricultural sectors. Dr. Li has extensive teaching experience across various levels and disciplines, both in-class and online. She teaches the course Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, where she explores the intersection of cultural practices and environmental challenges faced by Indigenous groups. Her work emphasizes the importance of integrating local knowledge into broader environmental management and policy frameworks to address climate change effectively.

Ramin Soleymani-Fard holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Hannover (2010) and currently serves as a software engineer for the LICCI project at the Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals (ICTA) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His professional background includes developing planning strategies for wireless sensor networks, working as a Creative Technologist, and engaging in freelance software development and education. Ramin has been actively involved in community organizing, notably within a digital art community in Berlin and Barcelona, and co-initiated the Science Hack Day Berlin—a hackathon focused on citizen science and DIY science initiatives. In his role with the LICCI project, he is responsible for developing the citizen science platform that facilitates community engagement in climate change research. Ramin also teaches the course Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, contributing to discussions on the integration of technology and local knowledge in addressing environmental challenges.
