His academic credentials include a Ph.D. and MS in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota and an MA in Economics from the University of Arizona. Through his Coursera course "Medical Technology and Evaluation," he helps students understand healthcare analytics and medical technology assessment methods. His research focuses on health information technology diffusion, geographic variation in medical resource utilization, and healthcare pricing.
