Alessandro Guetta serves as Professor of Jewish thought at INALCO in Paris, where he has established himself as a leading authority on Italian Jewish intellectual history. His research focuses particularly on the early modern and modern periods of Italian Jewish thought, exploring the intersection of Jewish and Italian cultural traditions. His significant works include "Philosophy and Kabbalah: Elijah Benamozegh and the Reconciliation of Western Thought and Jewish Esotericism" (2009) and "Italian Jewry in Early Modern Era: Essays in Intellectual History" (2014). His current research examines the cultural phenomenon of Jewish scholars producing Italian translations of Hebrew texts during the late Renaissance, a period when Italian Jews enjoyed relative freedom and cultural exchange
