About Me

Professor Pitman specializes in mathematical modeling, high-performance computing, and uncertainty quantification, with a focus on addressing model uncertainty. He earned his BS in Physics and Mathematics from Northwestern University, followed by an MS (1981) and PhD (1985) in Mathematics from Duke University.
