About Me

Madhura Lohokare directs the Centre for Writing Studies (CWS) at O.P. Jindal Global University in Sonipat, Haryana. With a background in anthropology, her doctoral research focused on how urban exclusion shapes young men as gendered and caste-d subjects in Pune, India. Currently, her research interests revolve around critical writing pedagogies and the concept of care within writing education. At the CWS, she is committed to developing an inclusive pedagogy that fosters critical thinking and writing skills, teaching courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Additionally, she has mentored faculty in writing pedagogy to enhance their teaching practices.
