Prof. Baylon G. Fernandes is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay, focusing on power electronics and electrical machines for renewable energy and electric vehicle applications. His research interests include inverter topologies for VAr compensation, power electronic interfaces for non-conventional energy sources, permanent magnet machines for wind power generation, and switched reluctance machines for electric vehicles. Prof. Fernandes has been instrumental in developing advanced technologies that enhance energy efficiency and support sustainable transportation systems.
