Sonja Rüger is a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Munich, where she specializes in corporate development and enablement. With extensive experience advising both public and private companies, she focuses on large transformation programs that help organizations manage their portfolios, define growth strategies, and explore new business opportunities. Sonja is particularly passionate about integrating startup methodologies into established companies, guiding them to adopt a startup mindset in technology and digitization. Her recent efforts have centered on supporting clients in building critical capabilities necessary for successful digital transformations amid ongoing disruptions.Before joining BCG, Sonja worked for an IT startup focused on supply chain digitization and served as a startup consultant. She holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. At BCG, she teaches the course "Digital Transformation," available in multiple languages, including English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
