Dr. Sukumar Vellakkal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics Science at IIT Kanpur. He holds a PhD in Economics from ISEC, an MSc in Health Economics and Policy from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and an MA in Economics from Calicut. His research expertise focuses on Health Economics and Policy, the intersection of Macroeconomic Policies and Health, and Impact Evaluation, examining how economic policies affect public health and healthcare systems. He also specializes in evaluating the outcomes of health-related interventions.
