Teresa Chahine is the inaugural Sheila and Ron ’92 B.A. Marcelo Lecturer in Social Entrepreneurship at Yale University, where she focuses on developing impactful social ventures. She is the author of Social Entrepreneurship: Building Impact Step by Step, which outlines a practical framework for creating social change. Dr. Chahine's research emphasizes the social and environmental determinants of health, and she has launched significant initiatives, including the first social entrepreneurship program in public health at Harvard University and a venture philanthropy organization in Lebanon that supports marginalized communities through education and job creation.With extensive experience in social innovation, she has collaborated with various organizations, including the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United Nations Population Fund. Dr. Chahine has received multiple awards for her contributions to public health and humanitarian research. Through her course "Creating Change through Social Entrepreneurship," available on Coursera, she aims to empower learners worldwide to tackle social challenges effectively.
