Dr. Sushanta Karmakar
Professor Sushanta Karmakar is a distinguished academic at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, specializing in graph algorithms. He currently teaches CS101: Introduction to Computing, and has contributed significantly to the field through his research, with numerous publications listed in the DBLP bibliography server. Professor Karmakar's expertise in computer science and his academic leadership are evident in his teaching and research at IIT Guwahati's Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He is available for academic collaboration and research inquiries through his office at IIT Guwahati.
Rupesh Nasre
Rupesh Nasre is a faculty member in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at IIT Madras, with a background that includes a BE from VRCE Nagpur, MTech from IIT Bombay, PhD from IISc Bangalore, and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on Compilers and Parallelization. Rupesh has earned several prestigious accolades, including the Excellence in Teaching Award at IIT Madras, the APJ Abdul Kalam Cray HPC Award, the NVIDIA Special Prize for CodeForScience, and the ICPC Coach Award. He also chaired the Curriculum Task Force 2024, which recommended the new BTech curriculum at IIT Madras. Rupesh has been granted nine patents, graduated eight PhD theses, authored two books, and serves as an associate editor for the CCPE journal. Additionally, he is the Coordinator of the NSM Nodal Center at IIT Madras for HPC and AI training. Rupesh has led his research group, Gajendra, to several honors, including awards for best PhD theses, MTPs, and research papers. His contributions to the field are recognized through multiple awards and the ongoing impact of his work

He earned his Ph.D. in Optimization Theory from IIT Roorkee in 2008.
